I too started with an Isky. A. RR735 grind with 1.55 rockers on a 528 alky motor with 440-1 heads. Went 8.77 with that cam at 153 mph at 1600 da and 3055 lbs. I had another more agressive cam cut and didn't see much if any improvement other than beating the snot out of my valvetrain. That rr735 was run with 340lbs on the seat.
Ole Ed Iskenderian understood cam design way back in the day. Those shelf grinds are VERY good designs.
