He'll get it.

From the dealer that damaged it? I know he wants the new one when it comes out, can't remember the designation, ZO6?

The dealer that damaged it. The Vette that was dropped is totaled. They, and their insurance company, only owe him Actual Cash Value. From the dealer's standpoint, if anyone there has 2 brain cells to rub together, the damage to their reputation that they will suffer because of this if they don't replace it is not worth the few bucks they would save by not doing so. Huge PR win if the dealer just replaces it with a new one with the same options, but if he didn't have a Z06 before, they shouldn't give him a new Z06. They can, I suppose, but they shouldn't, and they likely won't. Just give him the same model that he had.
