My engine hoist is a 70s/80s box steel design that does not fold up, but does come apart in (5) pieces (2 horizontal legs with casters at one end, center section with casters that houses the 2-legs and vertical posts and the final piece is the beam) and the hydraulic cylinder.

The engine stand consists of (3) pieces: I-Beam with casters, vertical beam/post that bolts to the I-Beam and the mounting plate (to attach to the rear of engine) with a round tube welded to it to slide into the vertical/beam/post.

How much room do you have for storage , if allot hang it from the roof support or build a rack on the wall and store it like square tubing or under your work bench just a few ideas until we know your storage capabilities.
