Now before we go down the "Where does this stuff come from?" road, again, this is from the 1967 Plymouth Data Book (salesman's book). Direct quote "Cleaner air package (mandatory Calif., NA otherwise or on Hemi)". This would seem that initially the CAP was not intended to apply to the California Hemi but if they exist, they exist. I personally don't know one way or another.
May want to look at that again, the one on Hamtramck doesn't say that. Regardless, I have seen the letter that exempted 66 only. If you look at the parts book, service manual, Carter Books, the carbs exist along with CAP distributors for Hemi in 67. 68 up everything was CAP. That is not really the question, more interest in how may CA Hemis and how many 4 speed.
