I believe you're absolutely right. I think they are poor marketers for the most part. I think so many are owned by the children or grandchildren now of the original owners, and have no business sense. If they did, they'd run their businesses very differently. They'd realize word of mouth was so important, and not just look for that sale, then treat the customer like crap afterward. So many little things they can do differently that would create good word of mouth advertisement. And Service Departments, horrible! I believe they are satisfied with their revenue from one time sales and recall work, and don't ever realize the potential revenue never realized.


Facts are stubborn things.
