Is it necessary to replace the gasket between the top and the body of the carb when putting the top back on or can I reuse the existing gasket if it's not broken or brittle?
I pretty much ALWAYS reuse the gasket. It usually wants to come off with the lid but may be stuck to the body in places. Gotta unstick it from the base where needed before lifting the lid off.
