I merged the two harness because the Dakota engine connectors were not the same as the 99, and routed differently than the V8. Also the Distribution box is very large on a 99 Ram, where the Dakota was half the size and contained the necessary relays for ASD, Fuel and Transmission.

Right, the distribution boxes are different between those few years, that’s why I wasn’t able to use the engine harness from my wrecked 99 ram in my 97 ram. I guess I just don’t understand why you’re having to combine harnesses in the first place. Stuff is going into a 1940 vehicle right so why not just use the 99 harness completely. Maybe I just need to read your original post a few more times to get it, haha.
