My wife bought me a Craftsman all manual tranny jack years ago, I still use it It works great when replacing the tranny with the car on jack stands. A friend of mine has a lot better one (Bendpak brand) for use on a car lift, but I don't really know how well it works, it seems a little wobbly to me EDITED: The one I have is like the 450 Lbs. H.F. shown in Jeremiah post It uses a 1/2 inch ratchet to raise and lowered it, it also tilts some front to rear
