If you could find a 5.9 magnum shortblock, that would be your best bet. The 5.2 and 5.9 heads are the same. The problem is that they are prone to cracking. You could use the same computer, but you will probably need 5.9 injectors. I don't remember if your motor was throttle body or port injection. Unless you are putting a carb and normal distributor in it, then it doesn't matter. Shortie headers help throttle response, but I have found that most crack at the collector welds. Head ports are so sloppy, that I'm sure a gasket match on the heads and intake would help a bunch.
