Oldiron, I tried 2nd gear burnouts years ago and did not like it. Felt it was too hard on the motor. But I will give it a try again. I was just concerned about the clutch slippage, since this one is designed to slip a little bit off the line.

YES It does have counter weights. this slipper set up is new to me as all of my experience has been with single disc brass clutch disc. I had to get my scatter shield modified to have access to adjust the Pressure Plate.

I know what you mean about 3rd gear being the wink link. I Went thru a bunch of the 3 rd gears and the sliders before I had Liberty to face plated 3rd and 4th gears. No issues since and they both look brand new after lots of runs.
