Ram died driving to work on Tuesday. Had no choice but to have towed and mechanic tells me fuel pump went bad. Claimed he R&R Fuel Pump Assy. Charged me 365 for pump alone, 800$ total with tow and tax.

I looked under truck and was quite surprised to see no signs that this tank had been dropped.

Please see pic. This does NOT look like a "NEW" fuel pump...but what is that Gray fitting that the fuel line connects to? That almost looks new and not correctly seated!
