ok lets scale down to a super comp dragster, same deal. they are held on the front by 2 aircraft type water hose clamps and they are not held against the rear end. they do have a coupler but it's loose fit. and with all the flexing you say wouldn't that make it worse? my point is the heavy duty front motor plates are not needed imo.




If you wheel stand and run a 1/4" plate and come down
hard.... it WILL buckle.... as me. I stepped up to
a 3/8" plate with limiters
