You don't necessarily need long studs. You just need the studs to stick out beyond the face of the wheel and engage the hex 1/2" or so. Thick centered aftermarket wheels mean the studs need to be longer. If you set the wheel on the studs, push it against the hub and the studs aren't sticking out of the wheel at least 1/2", it's not right.


If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
