The key to a cowl hoods aesthetics I believe is to make it "flow" with the car with a tapered look, not have it come rearwards from the front with a sudden "Jimmy Durante'd" hike in its rearward height.

This is especially important on a shorter wheelbase car where a taller cowl scoop take away from the lines of the car and make it look "stumpier" when viewed from the side.

Mine will be sealed in due course.

Your car is stunning mate, unfortunately to achieve what I thinking I will have to go 6" cowl, the 2 carbs on top of the Indy tunnel are at about 4" out at the front.
I have ordered a 6",still not sure but as it sits I have this fibre glass hood sitting here unusable so I will sit it on there and stand back for a look.
Will it stand out more than with carbs and air cleaners ?? Will it be more of a cop bait ?
