No as my son and I did all the chains and guides with the waterpump about 10 months ago on a friends 2.7 with 112k on it. I told him I dont like to see him put to much money in it with that mileage but he said he wanted us to do it. The car ran like new when we were done and he has been driving it 10 months and about 15k more miles since then. Ron
