gtx6970 OP Too Many Posts Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 21,430 It's a dry heat	Ok, Im working on a 1968 Charger RT. Original console 4 speed car. So the console brackets are still as factory installed. Believed to be an original 1969 style Hurst shifter mechanism with the slide in handle. Handle is a repop from Gunslinger Issue I'm having is the lower portion of the handle is hitting the inside of the console. So when i try to put it in reverse in pushes the console out away from the trans tunnel hump. Im wondering if the shifter mounting adapter bracket is not correct for a hurst shifter, thus mounting the shifter to high ? see attached picture
