I bought my fiberglass hood back in 1975, it sagged right from the day I put it on. To fix it at the time I fiberglass a U shaped piece of 1/2" electrical conduit to the underside. No sag after almost 40 years.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead
