Hello, Gents.
The left rear wheel in the Power Wagon has been locking up recently so a brake job is in order. I assumed that being a W200 that it would be a 3/4 ton with the common 12"drums. The guy at NAPA brought out the drums that I expected that I needed along with shoes and a hardware kit. $200 later, I was headed home.
I pulled a wheel and noticed that I had a drum that seemed unusual to me. I had a 74 Dodge Camper 9000 that had the beefiest rear brakes I'd even seen on a truck that wasn't a dually. I learned that the Camper 9000 was a heavy duty 1 ton with single rear wheels.
This 3/4 ton truck uses a rear drum that has the hub built into it like the 9000 did but it isn't exactly the same. Rock Auto does show 2 different designs but I hate to buy stuff online that I'm not certain about.
Anyone have any insight on this?
