The shop had to take quite a bit of weight off the counterweights on my 440 crank as the bob weight came in at 2,237.1 grams. The combined weight of each piston, pin and rod was 1,533.1 grams. Compared to my existing motor with it's heavy cast pistons, standard pins and six pack rods which combine for a total of close to 2,000 grams that's a weight reduction of 467 grams per cylinder. That's more than a pound per cylinder for a total of 8 pounds. The final residual unbalance on the crankshaft damper end was .4 grams with the unbalance at the drive end at .3 grams. This is the first motor I have had that was balanced and I'm looking forward to .
