I'm about 2 weeks away from firing up my 440 roller motor for my Sig car. I went with Comps starting retro hyd roller cam which is the XR274hr. The specs are: lift .538int/.534ex, dur @ .050 .224int/.230ex, 106' centerline with 110' lobe seperation. The advertised rpm range for this cam is 1,800 to 5,800. By the time I got done buying the cam, Comp magnum rockers, Comp retro hyd roller lifters, the timing set, new pushrods and the bronze geared oilpump drive I figure I spent just north of $1,700. The rest of the combo is 440 +.030, Diamond pistons with 440Source rods and Stealth heads at zero deck (10.0 to 1). A six pack with Promax prepped carbs and a full balance job. I also wiped a cam and am fed up with playing the "oil game".
