Appears that the camshaft that i have in my Cuda has flattened a couple of lobes that is affecting two cylinders.
I'm all ticked off about that happening, and has pushed me over the edge, in fixing the engine, or selling the whole damm car as is condition.
If i decide to fix this thing, can anyone recommend to me a hydraulic roller camshaft that i can live with, power and performance wise.
Presently the cam in the engine is either a Mopar Performance, street hemi grind, or the ".484" cam.
I really don't remember as it's been quite a number of years that it's been in the engine.
Anyway, the engine is a 71 440, .30 oversize with 6bbl. carburetion. 3:55 8 3/4 Automatic.
Used to run consistant 13.20's at 108 mph with that combination.
Can anyone recommend a ROLLER cam that will equal that performance, or a 12.90's.
I'm sick and tired of flat cams, when i owned my 71 Hemi GTX 4 speed car, and now with my 71 Cuda.
With the poor quality of todays oils, with the zinc taken out, i wan't a roller cam, and be done with it, if and when i fix it.
Anyone's thoughts and comments. Appreciate it.
