I'm considering the gut-job, but I'd prefer a replacement. I've heard a few nasty stories about going down that route I'd rather avoid if I can still get a decent replacement. I gutted my battery last month – wasn’t sure what to expect, but figured whatever it was it wouldn’t be pleasant. I was happy to find this inside the casing. Not sure how old it is - bought it used in 2010 and at that time I was told it was only a year old.
