You are talking hydraulic roller, right?
IMHO it'll work just fine.
I believe the stock 5.9 hydraulic roller has 114 or 115 LSA and increasing the duration that much will limit the amount the LSA can be narrowed. That will work in your favor, reducing overlap which will tame the idle and off-idle roughness, allowing a lower stall speed converter to work just fine. It will sacrifice a little midrange torque over my choice of the narrower LSA but probably work better in daily driving.
