If you want to run a slick go with a radial. They will be faster and more stable than a bias tire. I've run 9x30 and 10.5x30 radial slicks and they handle like a street tire. No tail wag at all. The only disadvantage is they will spin easier on a marginal track than a bias tire. They also don't recover once they break loose like a bias. Run 18+ psi in them and don't do much of a burnout. They also seem to last longer than a bias tire. They also don't grow like a bias tire which is good if your clearances are tight.
