No way I owuld put a straight rod big enough inside the oil galley to restrict the oil pressure with either a straight body or a set of roller lifters like yours with the cutaway body, they both would rub on the rod I have used several small welsh plugs in the left side oil galley, driver side, oil galley to stop oil going down that side Two .040 holes drilled in the middle before installing them would allow some oil down that galley
