That's a lot of work, money and cooling.

Does anyone know if the valve bodys are the same (shift valves/ springs)
Non lock up 518> (gas engine) and
Non lock up 618 (Diesel)
plan is use a JW bell on the 618
change the governor to shift at 4500
I mated a 618 to a JW bell
to get the most clutches, 4 pinion planetary ETC.
doing that the case has the larger fittings (1/2")
a (gas) factory radiator has the smaller 3/8" fittings
want the trans to run as cool as possible...
right now I can barely run 170* on the engine>540> E-85
If I want to round robbin/ run it hard, I can.
