Has anyone used it in a 383? Was it a good low-mid street cam, and what did you have for manifold vacuum at idle? Thanks.

Is this for the car in your sig, a 4 speed ? If so get the 6401 , I ran that in my 69 bee , 130k mile 383-2bbl long block with a DP4B , 3.23 gear , 4speed , power brakes , did 97mph in 1/4 at 3900 lbs , not earth shattering but the car was fun to drive.

Okay. Did you have to change the valve springs, or did it work with original springs? Thanks.

I didn't change the springs, it would have had to stock NON HP springs if they were still the factory original. The engine was installed in the car by someone else, it was not the original engine.

But that was over 15yrs ago , would I do that today ... not a chance.
