Condensation on your engine caused by a sudden rise in temperature.
This usually happens in early spring when warm moist air meets with your still cold car.

That's my guess anyway.

I have my car in an unheated garage and when temperatures start to rise after winter I regularly check if everything is still dry, engine is the first place to check.
