Ok, so I finally had a chance to work on the truck today and the distributor was the issue. Swapped it in, fired it and advanced the timing till I had the idle where I wanted. Went for about a 25 minute drive and no issues. Seems to run stronger as well. Will pull out the timing light at home and set the timing where it should be. I also pulled the harness plug from the firewall, peeled backed the rubber boot and did a nice inspection of everything. Wires were nice and clean and tight. The male and female connectors were clean and tight as well.

Now my NEW oil pressure sender stopped working so I need to replace it. And I also have an exhaust leak on the passenger side, sounds like its at the manifold but I need to pull out the stethescope and nail down where. I got three compliments on the truck in those 25 minutes too thumbs
