Boss looks to have E possibly D assembled 7-25 ?
That,s a D with a divot in the middle......
I don't know
But remember this , 69 model year assembly was schedule to start on 8/1/68 , this engine was assembled 6 days before that.
I imagine that 68 model year production had already stopped, the only reason it would be a D is because the guy stamping it goofed, and it may have an E stamped over the D????
At regular scale, it looks like an E. However, if you blow it up, you can definitely see curves on both the top and bottom. That seals the deal for me.......
If the pad weren't all pitted with rust in that area AND the block didn't have a 1969 VIN on it ....
