When I bought one of the HiRev boxes to test it, it came with specific instructions on which coil and ballast resistor to use.
I don't recall the specifications off hand but I should still have the instructions if you don't have them.
If I remember correctly he wanted a higher resistance ballast and coil than the MSD unit to protect the ecu.
