My track day adventures were all in getting there. Heading up to The Joilete Autobahn for the Fall Festival I tangled with a full tread from a "super single" truck tire. About 5:30 AM near Pontiac on I55 I came up to the tire tread in the left lane standing straight up on edge in a circle like a tall doughnut. Semi to my right and no shoulder on the left so I had to go right over it. It really did a number on the front valence and pushed the radiator back into the fan. The valence pulled and slightly tore fender mounting locations. The fan holed the radiator and the right strut rod put a hole in the bottom tank... emergency repairs with epoxy were not successful so home on a flat bed.

Thankfully the K mounted skid plate protected the oil pan. The grill and bumper look OK also.

The car back safe and readily repairable... and I may get it patched up to at least make a showing Sunday. We'll see. Not the day I expected but take it as it comes.

I know Mitch got a run in the AM and hopefully does well this afternoon.
