So the 340 block has a little more "meat" built into it? Are they the same size, physically, on the outside?
They are the same size on the outside.. but the 340 starts out with a larger bore due to the sand casting and a smaller water area between the cyls.. the inside is cast different in the bore areas.. yes they can be bored and sleeved but a 273 isnt worth it
