I have a PTC Converter that is rated at appx 3400 rpm stall behind a 400hp motor.

My motor pushes it to about 3600on the brake before the tyres start to turn.

Is it possible for the converter to suddenly become "looser" up to the stall point - but still retain the existing 3600 point where if I footbrake it, the tyres start to turn?

Basically...the converter 'feels' like its working harder - like when there's a more powerful motor driving it - but there isnt.

So it just feels like its slipping more under normal driving...but stalls up to where it should.

There's no sign of burned trans fluid, no vibrations, although I think the front pump has got a little noisier.....

Thoughts?
