It would seem that it was extra cost on Super Bee's, not available in California and standard only on Hemi equipped cars....

Dave

No that means Standard on Hemi cars except California Hemi cars. My California R/T 440 and my 70 Superbee 440+6 both have tips on the fender tag.

There a lot of wives tales about Chrome Tips and "California cars".

Another thing, what defines a "California car". N95 or sold new in California?? Or are those one in the same 100% of the time??

Do some other states/areas get N95 (like Denver area)?

Why would a Denver car be coded N95?

I was more curious as to why that calls out Hemi cars vs. 70 California (N95) E bodies with a hemi or 440+6 got turn downs.

I thought Denver had/has emission reg similar to California. They have a smog situation like SoCal. But don't know the time period on that.

I didn't want to make the assumption that N95 was only for California sold vehicles. Or L.A. plant built vehicles.
