Every time Nebraska's own RR proposes using a remanufactured stock distributor, I cringe. Nothing wrong with one, IF YOU ARE WILLING TO INVEST THE TIME AND EFFORT to get the curve right. He's got more time than money, so it makes sense for him. But if you're not a weekend racer and just want to stab it in, set timing and go, buying a distributor with a HP curve already in it makes a lot of sense.
