Leads to second bet, I had a LA 360 30 years ago that had unsteady idle. Guy put it on a scope at Precision Tune (Do they even exist anymore??), and graph showed the timing moving around at idle. Distributor shaft was worn and wobbling (bushing was okay). Replaced the distributor and all was well. Scott B. "I'm a self-made man...
