I have a W2 headed 408 in my 69 Dart, when the motor was first put together a 240@.50 LSA 111 solid roller cam was installed the heads were ported, 9.8to1 compression and a victor intake.
The car weights over 3400lbs with me in it I am 155lbs 28 inch tire, 904 with a low first gear.
After 5000 miles a larger cam was installed, 254@ .050 LSA 112 and the compression bumped up to 10.4.
The car is more fun to drive on the street with the larger cam and faster at the track.
The motor runs just fine on 91 octane on the street or the track.
I think you will like the larger cam Bobby.
So far the solid roller lifters in my motor has about 9500 miles on them, this includes a round trip to Vegas, two Hot Rod Drag weeks, last year I put 4.56s for DW, many times driving to work and over 65 1/4 mile passes.
