Make sure your old drum brakes were 10" (big ball joint) otherwise you may have to change upper control arms. You also want to double check the bolt pattern as some bodies did receive the 4" drum brakes up into the middle 70's. The only ones I've seen were 4 doors. 75 A's all had the large ball joint uppers from the factory. Typically all A's from 73 up had large upper ball joints, drum or disc brakes, didnt matter. There were some "use up the parts in stock" hold overs so some 73's reportedly got the small ball joint uppers. Parts books show the availability. ALL A bodies with 4 wheel drum brakes were small bolt pattern and had a 7-1/4 rear. F, M, J and late B's make great disc brake donors. Spindles out plus master/dist-prop valve.
