I am building a 520 RB with cnc'd max wedge victors purchased from MCH. The cam i have in mind is comp xr292r. This will be pump gas half street half track engine.

I think some of the advice given is more suited to a bracket race engine than a truely street driven street/strip setup.

That cam is pretty small for 520 CID, IMO.

You really have to ask yourself (and tell us), how much "street" do you want? I would run a little more duration, and use a "small" intake to get better street manners. Now don't get me wrong, with 520 CID, you can get by with a big, power producing intake, but driveability will be less.
