A coupe and a sedan are generally considered to be the same thing.

I think you may be thinking of a 2 door hard top as compared to a 2 door sedan? If so, as mentioned above, the VIN will tell you which one is which.

RL21 = R:Plymouth L: Low Line 21:2 door Sedan
RS23 = R:Plymouth S: Special 23:2 door Hard Top
