ASSuming everything in the shift kit was installed correctly,

Yes, my incompetence lead to this problem. So yesterday I had FREE time (No wife, kids, or grandkids, or any other distractions.) to tear it down and go over the directions and I HAD in fact missed a couple steps. A reducer/spring/checkball behind the OD accumulator housing and drilling a hole in the lower valve body plate.
I originally reused the large VB plate as I thought it had the enlarged suction hole. If it were bigger how would it seal? Oh well, from what little I drove it the checkball by the 1-2 accumulator was pushing thru the plate. I also noticed before that one of the 2-3 holes was way larger than the other on my original plate, like larger than recommended to drill.
Anyway, it's a totally different animal now and can't wait to tow to see the shift points.
Thanks again everyone for listening to my problems and your suggestions.
