I built a 383 stroker (440 length stroke, 440 length rods, short pistons) at .060 over on the 383 block, it was basically a .010 under 440 stuffed into a 383 block.

eddy heads out of the box, RPM intake, 10.5 compression with flat top pistons at zero deck, .039 fel pro head gaskets.


Torque was flat at over 500 ft lbs from 3000 rpm through about 5400 rpm before it started to trickle off, peak torque was 535 ft lbs at around 3800 rpm.

Hp peaked around 5600-5800 rpm at 505hp.

I think for a mild street build, you'll love that XE275HL.
