The clips were missing on the shaft and the bushing came out of manifold on the shaft. It pushed the spring out to the end of the shaft. Shaft wobbled in the hole. Took spring off and replaced the rusty old bushing like I explained, Whether you believe it or not!

I can believe it but WHY? Pull the manifold fix it right and put it back in. I promise you I can do it right in less time than it took to cobble up something like that.
