PS qualifing on NOW ....and the stands are maybe 1/4 full ....

I was going to bring a guy from work who had never been to a NHRA or any drag racing to Route 66 for qualifying. It was $41.00 for general admission on Fri (have to take the day off work)and $61.00 for Sat - I didn't even look at what Sun cost. General Admission - you sit in the last rows of stands and no standing in the aisle near the track or the security will make you move. Needless to say we didn't go - looks like many others didn't either.

Reserved seats are only a few $$$ more and well worth the $$$.At the Southern Nationals in Atlanta reserved seat were only $56.00 for the best seats on Sunday and you are in the pits you can walk right up to the cars.At Atlanta Motor SpeedWay for the nascar the cheapest seats are $75.00 were you can't hardly see or hear, good seats are $100.00 more than that.To go into the pits its $105.00 + the price of your ticket.Don't think when you have put out over $200.00 you will be back there were you see people in the pits on TV,they have a fence between you and them. You can forget about any of the drivers coming over to the fence unless you are a Hot Looking Chic. They won't even look much less wave. Not a NHRA supporter at all,but compared to nascar you get much more for your money.
And if NHRA would come off some $$$ and have their Races on all Sunday afternoon for people to watch while Grilling and Partying they too could start having the number of Fans at the races nascar does.

PS everyone have a good day and lets hope ESPN shows the Daymn race on time tonight instead of some other crap!
