Imo. the durability is not there that's needed on a car or truck.

I've used oil based paint on a work truck. Not all sanded and buffed, just on the bed, flat bed with boxes on the side.

It was a huge mistake and I wasted a lot of prep time(I sand blasted the bed bare) only to have it never to harden up until like 3 years later. It looked like crap new and I will never use oil based paint on a car or truck again. Not on one that I care about.

A wrap would be the best deal for the OP imo. Vinyl wrap.
