I changed the A/C cycling switch on my '85 Ram because of escessive compressor cycling and not cooling down the interior of the cab properly. The old switch would keep the center dashboard vent temperature between 40 and 60 degrees.

The new one that I installed this am doesn't seem to cycle the compressor at all. The center vent temperature bottoms out at 34 degrees (outside temperarure & humidity in the high 80's); but the A/C compressor still hasn't cycled off.

I'm NOT complaining about the c-c-cold vent temperature output; just wondering if/when/at what vent temperature the compressor should cycle off and on?
