Have you ever seen the NS2, NS3 designations? Back in '75 I was sure that one of our price books (yeah books, no computer!) had NS designations other than '1'.

Had to look this one up. This is what I found in my old notes.

Not Serviced Codes

NS0 = Glass distributor supplied part
NS1 = Canceled Part Number
NS2 = Do Not Service (Not sure what that means)
NS3 = Canceled - Phased out - No Demand
NS4 = Serviced as assembly only
NS5 = Serviced NOT as assembly
NS6 = Serviced in a package
NS7 = Canceled - Not used in production
NS8 = Make-Trim Part ( I assume that means you have to make an alternative part fit?)
NS9 = Paintable Trim Part

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
