Correct it cannot. You can't position the piston at TDC with the tool installed because as you know it is keeping the piston from coming all the way up. The tool only allows you figure where (on the dampener) exact TDC is then you remove the tool & then move the piston till a new TDC white paint mark on the dampener (if needed) halfway between your 2 sharpie marks is lined up with the zero on the tab & at that point the piston is at exact TDC live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
