Mini-starter is the only way to go but I know people have different reasons for staying with a stock starter.

I had the dreaded 1407 manual choke 750cfm Eddie carb on my FE5 70 Duster360 and it smoked the tires every time with no bog or back fire with excellent throttle response thru all rpm ranges. One of the best carbs I ever used but it sure did like stopping at gas stations. I ran 20 degrees of intial timing/36 degrees total timing with no vacuum advance with 280H Comp Cam.
